The weather is cooling down and we're all starting to cozy up. Warm sweaters and hot cups of coffee are all great, until the days get shorter and the darkness lasts longer. Our moods are heavily impacted by changing seasons and especially with today's climate, π™¬π™š'π™§π™š 𝙖𝙑𝙑 π™¬π™–π™‘π™ π™žπ™£π™œ 𝙀𝙣 𝙖 π™©π™žπ™œπ™π™© 𝙧𝙀π™₯π™š.

So what can you do? Thankfully there are a few things you can start doing now to make sure you’re feeling your best throughout the colder months. Check out my tips below:

  • Invest in a light therapy box - sitting in front of one of these for just 30 minutes each day can provide dramatic improvements on your mental state!

  • Utilize uplifting scents with aromatherapy! Scents like lemon, orange, and peppermint can stimulate your senses and give you an immediate boost. Try mixing essential oils with your body lotion for a lasting impact all day long.

  • Make sure to move! It might not be as appealing to move your body when the couch is calling, but exercise has been proven to help with depression. Thankfully there are tons of virtual options out there at your fingertips!

  • Get plenty of vitamin D. Getting outside and being in the sunshine can instantly boost your mood, but you can also supplement! Just be sure to talk to your doctor before starting any new supplement regimen.

  • Seek professional help. The best way to navigate any kind of mood change, is to consult with a trained professional. If you’re looking for a therapist to connect with, sign up for free consultation with me to learn how I can help you get back to feeling your best.
